I’ve been a Certified Personal Trainer for over fifteen years. I started in a corporate gym and over the years, built my knowledge and a wonderful clientele. I work with all ages and perform everything from sports conditioning to strength training, body fat reduction, mild rehabilitation and lifestyle training.
My passion is helping people achieve their goals.. I love being a personal trainer, however I also work part time as a certified motorcycle instructor, have a certificate in Emegency Medical Response and am studing paramedicine. Years ago I discovered that I was good at teaching and explaining things to others in a way that makes sense to them. Over the last 15 years I’ve been helping others live more active, healthier lives. I love my job. I get to teach people how to set goals, how to reach goals, and how to manage time. We only get one body and I want to teach people how to take care of it!

I grew up in Surrey and was very fortunate that my family were all big believers in exercise and physical activity. As I got older, I put my athletic focus into field hockey and went on to play for the University of Guelph where I graduated with distinction from the Sociology Honours program. Career-wise, I knew I wanted to help people, but I wanted to remain active while doing so – desk work was not for me! At the encouragement of a friend, I took the BCRPA Personal Training certification and began working at a corporate gym in Burnaby, B.C. in 2015.
It was extremely rewarding meeting so many different people in the gym who were looking to overcome personal obstacles in order to live a healthier life. I even met my husband (a fellow trainer) there! I’ve worked with so many different body shapes and goals over the last 5 years and really believe that any change is possible with the right mindset. The part that I love most about being a trainer is turning “I can’t” into “I did”!
